Meet the roxys
Get to know the girls and how their careers led them to becoming part of The Roxy’s. Robyn, Scarlett, Christie, Cara and Sophie are all established singers in their own right and have performed all over the globe in the West End, on tour, cruise ships, Las Vegas and Asia. Check out their individual profiles below.
Scarlett
Scarlett first met Robyn at school aged 11, when both pupils at Italia Conti performing arts school. Having trained together for almost four years, Scarlett went on to study at London Studio Centre in Kings Cross where she gained a foundation degree in performing arts
Since graduating, Scarlett has performed for artists on live TV shows including X Factor, This Morning, ITV, The Allan Titchmarch Show, Lorraine, Red or Black and The Brits. She has worked professionally as a commercial dancer in London for over 5 years being featured in music videos, corporate events, fashion shows, premieres as well as live TV performances.
Alongside her dancing career she was also a member of the girl band Alfee for over four years where they wrote and performed their own original songs. They worked closely with the likes of Elliot Kennedy, hit producer for the Spice Girls and spent much of their time at Abbey Road studios creating tracks which were aired on MTV, E entertainment! and KISS100. They had the opportunity to perform in several prestigious venues around the UK and finished their journey with a month long tour in Asia in 2013.
Scarlett was thrilled to be asked to be a part of The Roxy’s band not only to be performing with a good friend but to have the opportunity to showcase her favourite style of music with intricate harmonies and be back singing at fabulous venues with great audiences.
Robyn

Robyn graduated Italia Conti after 7 years of training from the age of 12 in 2009. She began her career in The West End musical Grease playing the role of Marty 1st cover Sandy at aged 18. She then followed her theatre career and travelled around the Uk in a show called ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ then went back to the West End and into the Green Day musical ‘American Idiot’.
After spending time gigging and performing in musicals in London, her career then moved across to the US where she starred as guest singer in the Paul Zerdin show ‘Mouthing off’ on the Las Vegas Strip at the hotel Planet Hollywood, where she performed nightly for 8 months.
She then returned to the UK and after guest entertaining on many cruise ships as a singer decided she wanted to create a vocal trio where she could perform her favourite type of music. Robyn already has invested 2 years working alongside her musical director at perfecting the sound of the group and how the golden jazz era could be portrayed in this day and age, with an element of pop and jazz combined. She continues to work hard on the groups harmonies and song selections to create a very unique and special sound.
Sophie
From a young age Sophie had always had a passion for performing so at age 16 she left home to move to London and train at Laine theatre arts school specialising in musical theatre where she graduated in 2009.
She then went on to perform on various Cruise liners all over the world performing to thousands of passengers from all around the world. Staring In shows such as ‘Hairspray’ ‘Shout’ and ‘Smokey Joes Cafe’
Her love for singing then lead her to become part pf the band The Decibellas where they auditioned for the UK tv show the ‘X Factor’ becoming one of the last 6 bands to remain on the show in 2015. This opened up many doors for Sophie to which the group signed a deal with Sony BMG to write and record their own music. during this time Sophie also learned to play the guitar and became a singing musician finishing with the group in 2017.
Throughout her career Sophie has performed in many venues as solo artist for events and parties to which she met founder of The Roxys, Robyn. After gigging for a while as a soloist Sophie was thrilled to be back working as part of a group developing ideas and working as a team with the girls. Sophie loves the music and the sound The Roxys has created and loves performing in the trio.
Christie
Christie started singing from the age of 7 were she trained classically and obtained singing grades. She performed on the Westend stage at the Royal Albert Hall for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers 50th birthday celebration. Christie found a love for acting, dance and music so decided to continue training and completed her A Levels in Dance, Music technology and Theatre Studies. She then started performing with a band and started gigging at the weekends. This is where her real passion for singing and performing live was born.
Christie has worked as a session singer for 11 years - 7 years of this she has recorded from her own recording studio. Her voice has appeared on TV, radio, been played in some of the largest UK stores, iTunes and overseas. She has also been in the iTunes Charts with original music that she has co-written and performed on.
More recently she has become a songwriter in her own right, she has been writing for well established artists all around the world.

Becoming a vocal coach to previous X-Factor winner Matt Cardle; performing alongside pop group Alphabeat for 18 sell-out shows in 2008; appearing on Ministry of Sound's 'Big Tunes X Rated' album, and most recently, you may have heard her recordings on 2018's series of Love Island - which can be purchased on iTunes!
Cara
Cara started performing from the age of 6, having weekly training in Musical Theatre. Throughout her childhood and teenage years she performed at a range of professional venues with her local stage school, such as The Birmingham Symphony Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre, The Electric Theatre etc. At age 12 she was a part of the UK Touring production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The New Victoria Theatre, Woking. She continued to attend her local stage school up until the age of 15, and knew that performing was something she wanted to continue with in later life. At age 16 she began her professional full time training in Musical Theatre at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, a prestigious arts school in London. It was here she really developed a further indepth skill set in the Arts, intensively training five days a week in dance, acting and singing. She was taught by a selection of highly skilled and West End experienced teachers and had the opportunity to perform in some fantastic venues during her two years of study. Performing as a guest dancer on the opening ceremony of the 2014 BRIT Awards was one of her most celebrated performance moments. Upon graduating The BRIT School aged 18 with a Distinction*, she has been performing as a solo vocalist in a range of different venues across the country. Alongside The Roxys Cara also performs as part of an acoustic duo with a male vocalist at weddings, birthday parties and social events and continues to fulfil her passion for performing live. Cara is absolutely thrilled to be a part of The Roxy’s and really enjoys working alongside the girls on new arrangements exclusively tailored for the band.
